The ACTIVATE click and conversion tracking feature will allow you to track the impact of your collaborations. See below to learn more about how to enable this feature across your campaigns.
Click Tracking Instructions
Step 1: Enable click and conversion tracking on either step 2 (assignments) of your campaign or on the details page of your already created collaboration.
Step 2: Add the link(s) you would like the influencers to drive to in their sponsored content. Once you add a link, you can refer to the “Shortened links for influencers” to see a preview of what the link will look like for the influencers. Do not distribute the links under this section to the creators as it is merely a sample. The “uniquecode” in the middle of each link will be updated for each influencer for them to receive their own individual/unique link.
Step 3: You can optionally customize the back-end of each of your link. This would be a great opportunity for you to distinguish the links for the influencer or to add branding. See below for the example of where I added: “FallBox” to one of the links and “IGStory” to the second link.
Step 4: You can optionally add click tracking instructions for the influencer. We would recommend that you utilize this field to educate the influencers on which link they should be implemented across their sponsored post(s).
Note that you can add links for the influencer at any point of the campaign. If you don’t know the links this campaign will be driving to when you first create the collaboration, you can simply put “TBA” in the instructions so the influencers know when applying that they can expect link instructions later.
Step 5: To see the unique links each of your influencers have received, simply go to the “posts” tab of your campaign, select the ellipsis “...” drop-down beside each influencer, and click “view tracking links”.
Conversion Tracking Instructions
If you would also like to implement conversion tracking to your campaign, you can scroll down to see the conversion tracking details. You cannot implement conversion tracking without also using our click tracking feature. This is because the conversions are being tracked from the links you added that drive to the final conversions page.
Step 1: Copy the HTML code snippet you receive on either step 2 of campaign creation or on the campaign’s details page.
Step 2: Insert the HTML code snippet on the “confirmation” page of the website that you are driving conversions to. This could be the “order confirmation” page of your e-commerce site or maybe the “download complete” page of an app that you’re tracking. Please note that this HTML code will work across all your campaigns so you will only have to implement it once if the confirmation page is consistently the same. You can also add this HTML code snippet to more than one confirmation page if you are driving to multiple destinations.
The code snippet will track the total and the unique number of conversions each of your influencers have driven from the link(s) on their sponsored content. If you would like more detailed reporting (number of items, total cost of purchase...etc), your development team can customize the code snippet to include these data points.
Step 3: Once the HTML code has been implemented, your campaign is good to go and reporting should start coming in when the sponsored posts go live!
