ACTIVATE supports payment options between brands and influencers. Brands offer performance based compensation to influencers when they participate in collaborations. This allows you to get paid for your performance - whether that be sales, clicks, conversions, generating leads, etc.
When you're hired on a collaboration with this compensation type, you'll be required to use the provided tracking links so that the conversions you’re driving can be tracked.
Depending on the settings of the campaign, you will either direct traffic to a landing page that has been chosen by the brand, or the brand may prefer to let you choose where on the brand’s site you would like to direct your audience.
You can find these by going to the tasks tab of the collaboration, and then looking under the ‘tracking links’ column for each task:
As you can see, you will be given a different tracking link to use for each task that is assigned to you, so that we are able to track the source, as well as the conversions!
If you are asked to pick your own landing page, you will still need to go to the ‘tracking link’ column in the Tasks tab - but instead of having the link provided, click ‘create a link’’
When you do this, a box will pop up with instructions from the brand. Follow these instructions, and then paste your chosen link in the box below. When you’re done, click ‘save’ and the links will be generated for you.
Make sure to use the link that is generated by Activate, and not the regular link to the site, or else your conversions will not be tracked!
Link in bio
Sometimes you would be required to update your Instagram ‘bio’ with the unique tracking link. This would be required when you post certain content types, such as Reels or Instagram feed posts.
Please remember to include in your caption that your followers should click on your "link in bio". Add the tracking link in your bio by following the below steps from within your Instagram app:
- Tap
or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile at the top of the screen, then tap Bio.
- Add the URL to your website.
- Tap Done (iPhone) or
(Android).
Always remember to tag the brand and add the relevant hashtags for the campaign you are participating in.
